February 25, 2005: ISBN: a new milenniumbug ?!

I just read an article in my newspaper that next year the length of the ISBN (i.e. the book identifier; one should never say ISBN number, it said) will increase from 10 to 13. I suppose this can have serious implications. But at the same time I realized realized that I never worked on a project that was related to books and/or the ISBN so I wonder about the impact.
